DOT Pre-Apprenticeship Program Success

This summer, ten Proctor High School students successfully completed the DOT Pre-Apprenticeship Program, gaining 80 hours of hands-on carpentry and masonry training at MVCC. In addition to technical skills, students earned their OSHA 10 certification and built valuable connections with the Department of Transportation and the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, opening doors to future employment opportunities.

This program came to life thanks to the support of DOT funding, the incredible training team at MVCC, and Working Solutions, whose support services helped students every step of the way. Together, these partners created an opportunity that truly empowered our students to succeed.

We are so proud of our students for their hard work and dedication—this is just the beginning of their bright futures in the trades!
